The Jade Sea expedition is a water-borne journey for five nights, that takes you from Lobolo Camp, fly camping on Central island to explore the Volcanoes and Crater Lakes – where Nile crocodiles and birds breed; up the Jade Sea to the Omo River Delta’s vast wetlands to meet the Dassanech people; and then to Koobi Fora to visit the “Cradle of Mankind” with guides from Kenya’s National Museums to outline these prehistoric findings; returning to Lobolo for the last night.

Halewijn and Joyce Scheuerman have for years run expeditions on Lake Turkana and the Omo River - Jade Sea Journeys, and continue to do so. When Halewijn is on an expedition, Joyce hosts Lobolo Camp.
